Known as the Crab Capital of the World, Crisfield is all about the water life style. The condo's being offered are seen as the uppermost building to the right with Jane's Island State Park in the background and Somers Cove Marina in the foreground. Ferries for Smith Island, MD and Tangier Island, VA depart daily from the City Dock seen at the center top.
Crisfield has been named one of America's top ten kayak destinations and one of America's top ten outdoor cities. In 2016 it was named #3 is best bargain beachfront towns and in 2014 #4 of the top 10 places in America to buy a waterfront vacation home. This photo is a glimpse of the 10+ miles of white sand beaches visible from the condos and reachable only by small boat.
Catch your fill of Rockfish or Blue Crabs without leaving the property or arrange with the locals for picked crabmeat or fresh oysters right off the boats. Waterman leave daily from the Small Boat Harbour and bring their catches to the seafood houses, all within site of your condo.
In normal times, Crisfield holds many arts and entertainment events throughout the year including the National Hard Crab Derby, Wheels on the Waterfront, Freedom Fest, Dock Days, Boat Docking, Oyster Fest, Fourth Saturdays, etc. There is something for people of all ages and always amazing people to meet.
Despite it's backward surface appearance, Crisfield has its share of clubs, museums, and organizations adding to the culture and heritage of the area, albeit most are small in size. There is an American Legion, VFW, Elks Club, Freemasons, Lions, Garden Club, several museums, country club, yacht club, book club, and many hidden artists, musicians and authors. It's difficult to imagine all the ways that visitors come to Crisfield. The photo shows a small cruise ship tied up across from the Condos at the City Dock. Folks come by sailing yacht, motor yacht, barge, ferry, seaplane, paddle board, kayak, bicycle, motorcycle, camper, ..... Crisfield has accommodations for all of these and it is the only City in MD where you can drive around town in a golf cart.
